When can I start? You can join our classes at any point! You don’t need to wait until the start of a new term, unfortunately due to Covid 19 measures one can't just come along on the day to register, booking in advance is a must, as we cant have more than 14 people per class.
What do I wear? Something comfy that you can move easily in, and won’t get too hot in! For Ballroom & Latin, Salsa, or Tango, ‘Smart casual’ is a guide. In reality anything from jeans or jogging bottoms to skirts and heels goes! Shoes with less grip, rather than a trainer, are better for this form of dance to aid you with turns and nice smooth movements! Ladies - if you are comfortable wearing a heel you may although please note that stilettos or metal heels are not allowed in the studio as they damage the floor.
Do I need a partner? No! Unlike many schools we don’t require you to bring a partner to Ballroom & Latin, Salsa, or Tango - As long as you are prepared to have a go, join in and dance with whomever is there or have a run though with an instructor! Please note that whilst we do our best to help everyone, we cannot always guarantee you will have a partner for the whole duration of the class (unless you bring one with you that is!) However we always ensure that everyone has danced with a partner sufficiently throughout the class for it to be an enjoyable experience.
Do I have to pay for a course of lessons? No! We run on a ‘pay as you go’ basis, which means that you only have to pay for the classes you attend. You may do this at the start of each class, or if you wish you can puchase a 10 session cad and save yourself a few euros!
Can I bring my own water or drinks? As the saying goes Help Us to Help You......we have a bar and coffee shop so only drinks purchased from the bar may be consumed on the premises.
Can my kids wait while my class takes place? Yes kids are always welcome at Steps Ahead, we have a kids area where they can play and have fun while watching their parents dancing along.
